Shipping Policy

This Shipping Policy applies to all orders placed with The Little Stationery Shop for delivery within the United Kingdom.

UK shipping options

At checkout you can usually choose from the following Royal Mail delivery methods:

  • Royal Mail 1st Class
  • Royal Mail 2nd Class
  • Royal Mail Tracked 24
  • Royal Mail Tracked 48

Tracked services allow you to follow your parcel’s progress but do not guarantee delivery on a specific date. Once your parcel has been handed in at the Post Office or drop-off point, delivery times are outside of our control.

Postage costs depend on order weight, parcel dimensions, and packaging materials. We regularly review these costs to stay in line with Royal Mail pricing. Our system calculates postage based on the largest item in your order and the total combined weight.

Order status: completed vs dispatched

Completed – your order has been fully prepared, packaged, and is ready to be posted.

Dispatched – your parcel has been handed over to Royal Mail (e.g. at the Post Office or parcel drop-off point).

These dates may differ. For example, your order might be packaged on a Saturday but not dropped off until Monday (or Tuesday after a Bank Holiday). “Dispatched” means it has left us, but it may not show in Royal Mail’s tracking system immediately.

Free shipping

We offer free UK shipping on orders of £30 or more after discounts. Free shipping is usually sent via Royal Mail Tracked 24. You will receive a dispatch email and tracking number when your order has been posted.

Overseas shipping

We do not currently offer international delivery. We hope to ship to the USA, Canada, and Australia in the future, once practical and cost-effective options are in place. Shipping to the EU also requires additional regulatory steps (including GPSR compliance), and we will update this policy when we are able to offer this safely and legally.

Most paper-based items (such as inserts, stickers and greeting cards) are typically sent as Large Letters, while notebooks and memo pads usually require Small Parcel postage due to their thickness.

Delayed delivery

Unfortunately, delays can happen and are outside our control once your parcel is with Royal Mail. As a guide, please allow at least:

  • 10 working days for UK deliveries

If your order has not arrived after this time, please contact us at flic@thelittlestationeryshop.co.uk with your order number and we will do our best to help.

Damaged or missing items

If your order arrives damaged, or items are missing, please contact us as soon as possible with photos of the packaging and contents (where applicable). We’ll work with you to find a suitable solution, which may include a replacement or refund in line with our Refund and Returns Policy.
